Suppliers - Archery Supplies has strong connections with many of the world's leading archery manufacturers. It is among the largest purchasers of PSE and Bowtech Compound bows, Carbon Tech Arrows and Samick recurve bows.
Aim - Provide an extensive range of superior archery products, at world competitive prices and provide service which is regarded by customers as excellent.
Archery Supplies Staff:
Ron - Manager Retail. Ron has been shooting a compound bow and hunting for over 20 years. He is a member of Tuggeranong Archery. Ron has been buying archery equipment from Archery Supplies since 1990. Ron shot an Oneida compound for many years and only recently upgraded to the Bowtech Tribute. Ron is currently shooting a PSE Dreamseason, Carbon Tech Rhino shafts, QAD rest and TRU ball release aid.
John- Manager Wholesale. John was Archery Supplies first customer back in the 90's. John has owned more bows than most and in the 90's was Archery Supplies best customer. John was a senior manager in the ACT fire departement. John has held various senior positions in the ABA. John is currently shooting a PSE Dreamseason and Predator recurve.
Peter - Manages all bow repairs, string making and specialised setups.Peter is Australias most recognised bowhunter. He is a former body builder and is Secretary of the Bowhunting Association. Peter is probably the most dedicated hunter in Australia, although some of our customers may be as dedicated. Peter Shoots a Bowtech Tribute, Carbon Tech Rhinos arrows
Mark - Mark works in the Afternoon and Saturdays in Retail. Mark has been shooting a bow for more years than most. Mark is a keen hunter and fisherman. Mark has also been buying archery equipment from Archery Supplies since 90's and has introduced many people to archery. Mark is currently shooting Bowtech Sniper and Bowtech Airbourne.
Alex - Alex joined Archery Supplies after doing work experience. Alex is stronger than two malley bulls and is best remembered for drawing a 100# bowtech and the D loop broke. Alex is a keen hunter and has shot target archery. Alex changes his bow more times than people change jeans so he has probably owned most bows in the shop at some time. I think he is shooting a Bowtech Captain.
Ben - Ben was a keen target archer but has recently been converted to bowhunting. Ben still shoots target archery. Ben is shooting a Bowtech Captain.
Sam - Sam is new to archery. Sam is shooting a PSE catalyst
Bob - Bob is oldest employee.
History
Steven Hann owner of Archery Supplies took up archery as a sport in 1981. In 1984 Steven held numerous Australian FITA records and won Australian championships. In 1984 his parents estabilished their archery business in South Australia. Today Archery Park in South Australia is run by his mother Helen Hann and offers three feild ranges and one target range. Archery Mart in South Australia is one of Australia's largest retail stores in South Australia is run by his father Brian Hann
Archery Supplies became a registered business in 1992. It started on a part time basis, in a home garage with a few bows and accessories, to meet the needs of local archers.
Steven was active in the local archery scene and held numerous positions from president, secretary, coach and junior coordinator from 1991-1998.
Around 60 smaller archery shops were buying wholesale from Archery Supplies by 1995 and mailorder and retail sales were growing rapidly.
In 1999 Archery Supplies opened full time, to meet strong demand.
In 2003 Archery Supplies purchased its current building, to hold increased stock and meet growing demand.
The Archeryshop.com.au website was launched in 2005 and receives 7,000 visits daily. It has proved extremely popular with customers who shop online.
In 2006 Archery Supplies was appointed the Australian distributor for Bowtech. Bowtech is the manufacturer of high quality compound bows and their sales are one of the highest in the industry.
In 2006 Archery Supplies was also appointed the Australian distributor for PSE. PSE is one of the largest bow companies in the world and produces a large range of bows. We believe that PSE can be re-established in Australia as a major bow brand and have purchased over 200 compound bows in the first order to allow customers access to the entire range.
Toys
Archery Supplies concentrates on TV and Cinema advertising to increase the number of local archers. In order to increase sales further and introduce more people to the sport Archery Supplies has added an extensive remote control toy and slot car area to the business. We are stocking a complete range of rc helicopters, cars, boats, yatchs, planes and assorted items. We have also added an extensive collection of Slot cars from Ninco, SCX and AFX.
It is hoped that through increasing sales in toy area more people will get to try archery as a sport.
