Title : problems with my PSE Optima Target Recurve Blue 66"
Detailed Review : I am a newbie to all this & I wanted a cheaper bow to start with & outgrow .
I got this bow a week ago , and the the limbs are too loose in the riser , and as shuch the limbs were free to move ( at the tips ) , making the string insead of sitting in line with the centre line of the bow , it was able to move left or right approx 8 mm overhall ( this is poor quality control )
not somthing that will induce acruacy , so I epoxyed on a s/steel shims of 0.4 mm thick to both sides of the limbs to take out the play and now its nice and snug and there''s no play , however I went to shoot down at the club last night ( indoor 15 & 18 meter range ) and because it is a short distance the sight needs to be up high , I found that the sight window of the riser is too short and the sight is almost completely obscured by it ,( this is poor design ) it probaly will be ok outside at greater distances as this will require more elevation and therefore the sight come back into view . the bow is rated at 35 pounds , however when measured on the scale @ 28" it actualy pulls 43 lbs , ( brace height was 200 mm or 8 " )
so I may either pack the limbs with tapered wedges or I may shave down the limbs ( the sides) on the plus side however I did eventualy shoot 9 arrows in the 10 zone ,
